What's your opinion on this?

my aunt has a 4 year old daughter. her daughter loves sitting in the front seat of her car. and today we fought over sitting in the front of the car. i told my aunt i cared for her daughter. she just kept telling me to sit in the back. even my uncle sided with my aunt. so i gave up and sat in the back. and i recently had a big change in my personality. i used to not care about things but now i do. and another thing, my aunt claims she knows how to drive more carefully with her child in the car. i really doubt it's true. so what do you guys think of this? to dangerous for a 4 year old girl to sit in the front seat? i know im a caring person now but i'm too damn tired of having my own family members siding against me and of my little cousin crying over the front seat but should i just stop caring about her? it seems so pointless now. by the way how many car accidents are there in the united states every day and what is the chance for you to actually get into one? i would very much like to prove once and for all how dangerous driving can be even if you say you know how to drive safer with a little child in the front seat of you car. What's your opinion on this?Chances are they won't get in an accident with the four year old in the front seat. Although it is safer in the back, you will find that if you just let them have their way, things will be happier. They are responsible for their own kid. You could point out that if there's an airbag that the kid could be killed if she drove over a curb causing the airbag to go off. (It's happened before.)

All you can do is voice your opinion. Then they can take it or leave it. What's your opinion on this? You are right that the safest place for a child is in the back seat but there is also no law the requires them back there.

As a father of 3 young ones (2, 3 and 4 yrs) I know that the back seat is the best.

I also know that in a proper car seat/ booster and buckled in correctly The front seat is safe. Not the best but still safe. What's your opinion on this?the problem with small children sitting in the front seat is that in a head on crash they normaly slide out of the seat belt and get mashed up under the dash and if there is a air bag in front of them it can do even more damage. have seen as member of a rescue squadWhat's your opinion on this?WOW!! my mom would killl me if i let my four year old sit in the front seat. i just turned fourteen and i am finally allowed to sit in the front seat of the car. my mom knew this lady who was driving with her son in the front seat and bumped itn a pole an the air bag went of and it killed him. so i would disagree and argue with my aunt because you do care

What's your opinion on this?Back seat always............

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, nearly 43,000 people died in car accidents. More than one-quarter of Americans have been involved in a car accident in the last five years.

A motor vehicle death occurs on average every 12 minutes and an injury every 12 seconds. About 117 people died each day in motor vehicle crashes in 2006.

Americans from the ages of 1-33 are more likely to die from a car accident than from anything else.

On the other side of the spectrum, elderly adults aged 75 and up are most affected by motor vehicle crashes.

In 2006, there were 5,973,588 police-reported motor vehicle traffic crashes, down 3.0 percent from 6,159,252 in 2005. Of total crashes, 1,746,000 caused injuries and 4,189,000 caused property damage only. NHTSA estimates 10 million or more crashes go unreported every year.

What's your opinion on this?Voice your opinion and then be silent. It's not YOUR kid. The parents will be the ones who will suffer the most in the event of a serious accident.

You're trying to tell them how to run their lives and they don't like it. Neither would I.
